Ellen is headed for a major international career and we would love to continue to support her! She is perhaps the top flute talent in the world today, nothing less. Thanks to our donors' group effort, as well as a donation from Syraun Palvetsian of St. Catherines, Ontario, we enabled her to purchase a great flute last year. Both Nareg Avagyan (principal flute on Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra and Albert Brouwer (interim-principal at the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal - OSM), have advised us to support Elen as best we can because she is one-of-a-kind in the world. Interestingly, her mother, Zara Parvanyan is her main flute teacher at the Gnessin Music School in Moscow. Ellen has dual citizenship from Armenia and Russia.
The next steps are to support her in travel costs to participate in major international competitions and festivals!
