Our Resilience Hub in partnership with the Syunik-Development NGO in Yegheknadzor continues to grow. Children of internally displaced families, all dealing with trauma and loss, are benefitting from the power of dance and music in a program presently funded in full through the 90th birthday fundraiser of a great Armenian woman, Dr. Dora Sakayan, linguist, Armenologist, professor, author of many dozens of scholarly works. Here are some new photos of our first group of children from the choir and dance programs. Bringing smiles and hope, one child at a time. Will you be part of it?
The Atken Armenian Foundation and Syunik-Development NGO Resilience Hub dance program in Yegheknadzor already has 35 students! The dance teacher we hired is from Artsakh, from a town now under azeri control. A glimmer of hope through dance and music for families having gone through an attempted genocide.
